Explanation of symbols
1 - The arrow
points to the next circuit forming part of the current Ý ow diagram.
2 - Designation of a plug connection on the relay plate
Indicates assignment of multipin connector with one cable, e.g. H/5 - Multipin connector H, contact 5.
3 - Designation of a fuse
e. g. Fuse No. 2 (15 amps) in fuse holder.
4 - Reference to continuation of cable
The number within a frame indicates the current path in which the cable is continued.
5 - Designation of a plug connection at a component
If the marking of the multi-pin connector indicates the number of contacts and the assigned contact number,
e. g. T10/9 - Multi-pin connector T10 10-pin, contact 9.
6 - The arrow
refers to continuation of the component in the next current Ý ow diagram.
7 - Symbol for component (refer to p. IV, V and Vl)
8 - Designation of a plug connection in wiring harness
If the marking of the multi-pin connector indicates the number of contacts and the assigned contact number,
e. g. T3/2 - Multi-pin connector T3 -3-pin, contact 2.
9 - Designation for connection in wiring loom
You can Ü nd information in the legend regarding the wiring loom in which this non-detachable connection (cable
weld point) is located.
10 - Reference to continuation of internal connection
The number indicates the point at which the connection is continued in the next section of the current Ý ow diagram.
11 - Designation of the connection - relay to
relay plate
It identiÜ es the individual contact of a multi-pin connector, e. g. 85 = contact 85 on the relay.

15 - Designation of a terminal
Terminal designation indicated on the original part and/or contact number of a multipin connector.
16 - Internal connection (thin line)
This connection does not exist as a cable. Internal connections are electrically conductive connections, however.
They make it possible to trace the current Ý ow within components and wiring looms.
17 - Designation of an earth point
You can Ü nd information in the legend regarding the position of the earth point in the vehicle.
